Blast from the Past: CET 84 Reunion

40th Year CET 84 Get-together

Forty years have passed since we graduated from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, but the memories remain as vivid as ever. Our CET84 batch recently reunited for an unforgettable 40th Anniversary celebration, reliving old times and creating new ones.

The festivities began on September 18th, with the Mens Hostel gang gathering at the picturesque Poovar Resort. This casual meetup set the tone for the excitement to come.

On September 19th and 20th 2024, we descended upon Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel, Kovalam, in full force. 122 batchmates, along with spouses and kids, took over the hotel, making it a sea of familiar faces. The evening’s formal meeting paved the way for a musical extravaganza, with our talented friends and family regaling us with nostalgic numbers. Laughter and memories flowed like the ocean outside as we partied late into the night.

The next day, we embarked on a journey down memory lane, visiting our alma mater in the iconic College Bus. The nostalgia was palpable as we met with the Principal, explored the campus, and snapped photos to commemorate the occasion.

Our EE84 classmates then gathered at The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort, Vizhinjam, on 20th September for an evening of merriment. 47 classmates and 27 family members joined this meeting. The highlight of the evening was a mesmerizing traditional Thiruvathira performance by our elegant ladies. We also had our own rockstars belting out solo and group numbers, a hilarious dumb charades show, and even a photo shoot in traditional Kerala attire!

A huge shoutout to the organizers for making this reunion a seamless, unforgettable experience. We’re all already counting down to the next one !

The CET84 reunion was a testament to the power of friendship and nostalgia. Here’s to many more reunions and memories to cherish !
