NOSTALGIA CET EE’84 : Coming together after 25 years . . . . . . A dream come true
It was indeed a dream come true. Coming together after 25 years since we left CET.
It happened because some of our friends conceived this idea and went out of the way to make it happen. In the absence of Facebook and WhatsApp of today, it was a huge challenge to reconnect with all class mates who left CET twenty five years back and spread around the world. Luckily, we could form CETEE84 Yahoo Group and get in touch with many of our classmates and get them to the event.
About an year of planning and hard work culminated in the Reunion Meet-up on December 28, 2009. The huge effort of our friends to locate and contact our classmates from different parts of the world ended up in bringing 50 classmates to this wonderful reunion. At the end, we had a massive crowd of 142 participants (which included spouses and kids counting to 92), joining at Aqua Serene Resort for two days of fun and frolic. Such a big crowd was a unique record among our entire CET 84 batch reunions. As we moved on, the WhatsApp Group brought us closer and we are a large group of 63 friends in close (daily) contact now.
This Silver Jubilee Reunion of 2009 paved the way for many of our future reunions and tours. Our friendship grew from strength to strength, thereby making our spouses and kids also part of our EE 84 family. We enjoy the same friendship we had during our college days and we feel young again !
